Little Reid (of the often mentioned Seattle Johnsons) celebrated turning one year old at a super fun birthday party surrounded by family, friends, water play, crazy kid-driven cars, and cake... for better or worse, lots of delicious cake.

Sand In My Truck, Sand In My Pants

Parker and Conway both love playing in the sandbox, but they have two distinctly different approaches.

 

Parker likes to fill up the dump trucks...

 

And Conway prefers to just dump the sand all over himself.

To each his own I guess.

A Night Out At Safeco Field

 

My Mom came up while Damian was in town and we had an adults only outing to see the Mariners play... and eat some peanuts and drink some beers. All good things. 

 

Maison Rouge in June

 

We recently went with the Seattle Johnsons (aka Lars, Shannon, Finn, and Reid) to Chelan for an impromptu Father's Day weekend getaway. The weather was delightfully warm and the days were of course filled with bike/scooter rides and pool time. The house was recently outfitted with some loungers, which were promptly put to good use and we also got to check out the newly finished dock down at the marina. And as seems to be a bit of a welcomed tradition, Damian was in town so we got to have him join us! All in all, a fabulous trip that made us that much more excited to return for a weeklong stay later in the summer - so stay tuned for the chaos that will surely unfold over an entire week at Maison Rouge.
